Jamie made his debut for the Angels in 2004 and did well enough to pick up the league's rookie of the year award. Comedy leaping for flyballs in the outfield led to him earning the moniker "fishboy", which he has failed to shrug off ever since.

Having mastered the outfield, he then ventured into the infield and in particular third base, that is when the rest of the team let him. This ensured infield plays were never dull, and if it wasn't for his wife, Kate at first base then he probably would have been sent back to the outfield pretty damn quickly!

Heaven help us if he wants to start pitching...
